ABOUT US
Antique art studio is a personal project established on the experience ofartistic creativity of the author, Vladimir Cvetković, an artist born in Pula in 1966. During his stay in Italy (Venice and Sicily), he learned the basics of mosaic workmanship. Fascinated by the beauty,refinement and expressive opportunities of mosaic, he decided to initiate the production of various items with the application of this technique.
Many beautiful items such as mirrors, pictures, pieces of furniture with parts of glass mosaic, terracotta, semiprecious stones, gold-plated parts and many other materials were created.
The author's aim is to bring closer this archaic technique to the requirements of not only the traditional and classical environments, but also to modern interiors and exteriors, especially due to the fact that these unique artistic items have also a usable value.
Based on the special requirements of individual clients, Antique Art Studio offers the possibility that each artistic item is personified through colors, shapes and materials, resulting with a unique piece made exclusively for the client's needs.

MOSAIC AS AN ART TECHNIQUE
Mosaic is an art technique, where the picture or decoration is made by puting in order different coloured pieces of hand cut glass, stone or ceramics, in regular or irregular forms.
The development of mosaic, as an art technique, has appeared in antique era. In ancient Greece and Rome, mosaic has been used for the decoration of interiors, but it reached full bloom in the era of Byzantine. Due to its exceptional artistic and aesthetic values, mosaic also marks the architecture of contemporary time, and can be successfully integrated into modern interiors.
Featured in a modern or classical style, mosaic allways brings a special atmopshere in its surroundings, and depending on the expressed motive and dimension, it provokes attention and admiration. Mosaic has been appreciated as an art technique for hundreds of years and up to date it finds its faithful admirorers.
